Repeat: “Repeating History”

Strange happenings going on… and a lot of it’s coming from DT’s mouth, too. Why does he keep saying these things? And since he keeps mentioning them, guess it’s worth adding Lincoln, Johnson, and Roosevelt to the list of presidents, too? Something that needs repeating itself: history repeats itself.

Speaking of a repeat of history, there’s a group of people back at it again with threatening a Civil War.

Quotes from above video, below:

“This is something they want. This is something they’re perpetuating through their language, and their tweets.”

Indeed. It is what they want.

What is it with this man that people are so obsessed to the point of stupid that they’re sitting here talking about “I have 8 billion bullets and I know how to use them”?

…perhaps it’s the possibility of his being the Antichrist?
And their having voted for a King, not a president a la 1 Sam 8?

Onto the presidential comparisons, though…
Roosevelt:

“At some point, I’m going to sit down, perhaps as a fireside chat on live television, and I will read the transcript of the call, because people have to hear it. When you read it, it’s a straight call,” Trump added.

Johnson:

During his wide-ranging interview with the conservative news outlet Thursday, Trump insisted that the charges were insignificant compared with those lodged against the three other presidents to face impeachment.

“Everybody knows I did nothing wrong,” he said. “Bill Clinton did things wrong; Richard Nixon did things wrong. I won’t go back to [Andrew] Johnson because that was a little before my time. But they did things wrong. I did nothing wrong.”

Lincoln:

“Of all the Presidents who preceded Donald Trump in office, the one he most often measures himself against is Abraham Lincoln. Time and again, Trump has compared himself favorably to the sixteenth President, boasting, for example, that his poll numbers are higher—although, of course, there were no polls in the nineteenth century. He has belittled Lincoln, explaining that he nearly lost the Civil War to Robert E. Lee, the Confederate general whom Trump speaks of with reverence. He pins positive clichés about Lincoln on himself, pointing out, as if no one else knew it, that Lincoln was a Republican, just like Trump, and honest, just like Trump.”

“A few minutes after Trump mocked Lincoln’s sincerity, he changed direction again. “Honest Abe. I liked Honest Abe,” he said. A voice shouted out, “Honest Donald!” Trump smiled. “We’ve confirmed,” he said, pocketing the comparison. “He says, ‘Honest Donald.’ Thank you.””

I sometimes wonder if things like below are his being unable to help from blurting out his own fears? Like the manifestation of his being overwhelmed with worries and self-consciousness caused by his past actions… like, if one’s to listen to his own claim, getting married to, and staying with someone who apparently doesn’t like him very much.

Also, considering the comparison to Lincoln, it’s just… weird.
